Her first art training started at the age of 16 in Paris, France where her family moved from her native city of Bucharest, Romania.  After immigrating to the United States, she continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.  During her studies, she experimented with different media, such as oils, charcoal, sculpture, lithography,  and at that time perfected her skills in oil painting.

Married to a Canadian and raising a  family of three children  in Montreal, she worked for 20 years as Director of Marketing and Advertising  for   several   retail   firms. A   few    years  ago    she   took    early    retirement to   actively   pursue   her    passion    for   the   arts   and    started    to    work    with  dry pastels.  Her latest works are in this medium.  In striving to perfect her skills, she continues to study with well-known pastellists in order to improve her techniques. beautiful scenery landscapes

She has been on the Board of Directors of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada and also as Vice-President on the Board of Directors of the Town of Mount-Royal Art Association, TRAM (Table Ronde sur l’Art de Mont-Royal).  She is also a member of the Hilton Head Art League in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

An accomplished artist, Veronica Takács has had many art exhibitions and awards in different venues and galleries in Montreal and surrounding areas, as well as in the United States.

Mariée a un Canadien et  ayant élevé une famille de trois enfants a Montréal, elle a travaillé pendant 20 ans comme Directeur de Marketing et Publicité pour plusieurs compagnie de détail.  Il y a plusieurs années, elle a pris sa retraite pour poursuivre sa passion pour les arts et a commencé a travailler avec les pastels secs. 

Elle a été membre de plusieurs comités tels que pour la Société de Pastel de l’est du Canada et aussi pour TRAM (l’Association d’artistes de Ville Mount Royal).  Elle est aussi membre de la League d’artistes de Hilton Head Island en Caroline du sud.

 Véronica a eu plusieurs expositions solo et en group au Canada et aux États-Unis ou elle a été décernée de nombreux prix d’excellence.
